How to Use Canvassing Map Data and Adding New Pins

Knowing who is behind the door before you even ring the bell is a canvasser’s superpower. RepCard’s map feature is built to give you the "field intelligence" you need to qualify leads on the fly, saving you from wasting steps on the wrong houses.

The Data at Your Fingertips

We pull the most relevant property data available to help you prioritize your route. When you tap a house on the map, you can see:

  • Ownership Status: Instantly identify if the resident is a Homeowner or a Renter.

  • Residency Length: See how long they have lived in the house to gauge their likelihood of making a change.

  • Property Age: Know how old the house is—perfect for solar, roofing, or HVAC reps looking for specific upgrade windows.

To ensure you are working with the best possible information, we refresh this data every 6 months.

Pro-Tips for a Perfect Map

Sometimes the physical world moves faster than a database. If the map doesn’t perfectly match what you see on the street, you have the power to fix it in real-time:

  • Create Missing Pins: If you’re standing in front of a new build or a home that doesn't have a pin yet, just tap the Plus (+) Button to create a new one.

  • Adjust Pin Placement: If a pin is sitting in the middle of the street or the backyard, simply press and hold the pin to "grab" it. You can then slide it directly onto the house for better accuracy.
